MAKE THE COMMON, GARDEN, AND MALL YOUR MUST-SEE SITES THIS FALL!
Don’t let the fading daylight keep you indoors. We all need to get outside and make the most of this incredible time of year. Good news – finding the perfect leaf peeping location during Boston’s best season doesn’t require a car trip outside the city. Exploring Boston Common, The Public Garden, and the Commonwealth Avenue Mall in autumn offers a local option for enjoying nature’s beauty. Open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
WHY VISIT?
- The autumn light makes the parks shine this time of year. Whether it’s family-friendly in-park activities and events on the Common, the quiet reflection of foliage in the Public Garden lagoon, or a sunset walk under the Mall’s towering elms, the fall season brings out some of the parks most special moments.
- Always something new to see. With more than 70 different types of trees, autumn in the downtown parks rewards multiple visits. As the parks shift in color, light, and atmosphere, each visit offers a new lens and deepens our connection to these beloved greenspaces.
