The Parks Champion Award is an annual recognition by the Friends of the Public Garden, presented each spring to honor volunteers, supporters, and organizations that exemplify the mission and values of the Friends.

NOMINATIONS

Nominating a Parks Champion is a meaningful way to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals whose leadership, teamwork, innovation, and performance have made a difference and inspire others to do the same.

Nominations are now open to donors, supporters, staff, and Board members, and partners. Submissions are due Saturday, March 1, 2025 by 5:00 pm. The 2025 Parks Champion will be announced in March 2025.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Nominations can be in essay form or a bulleted list. When using either format, please be at detailed as possible.
  • Nominators must identify themselves in their submission, but may request to have their name concealed from the nominee for anonymity.
  • The Friends staff and leadership team are not eligible for this award.

Parks Champion Awardees inspire others through their leadership and commitment, demonstrating how individuals and groups can drive positive change and leave a lasting impact.
