THE COMMON
- Explore the Black Heritage Trail starting at the Shaw 54th Regiment Memorial
- Visit the Central Burying Ground on Boston Common, established in 1756, the final resting place of American and British soldiers from the American revolutionary war, the battle of Bunker Hill, and Boston Tea Party
- Stop by for a warmed pumpkin muffin, or other pastry treats and savory sandwiches at Flour Bakery on Boston Common
- Stop by the Granary Burying Ground (Adjacent to the Common) next to the Park Street Church on Tremont Street, bordering Boston Common
- Check out Emerson College’s UnCommon Corner and the Harpoon Beer Garden, with free performances daily
- Get into some good trouble and visit The Embrace
- Visit the Tadpole Playground, one of the most popular playgrounds in Boston next to the Frog Pond
- Get a head start on your holiday shopping at the Downtown Boston Alliance Arts Market, every Saturday from 11 – 5 PM (thru October 24)
- View Boston’s skyline and the sea of fall colors from the top of Flagstaff Hill
- Attend one of Emerson College’s theaters in Downtown Boston
- The Boston Common Visitor Center also offers wonderful resources, maps, and guides for those visiting the #threeparks. Public restrooms are available at the Visitor Center and our Restroom Trailer located near the Charles Street mid-block crossing on Boston Common (closes end of October)
