SUPPORT FOR CITYWIDE GREENSPACE ADVOCACY

The Friends has been an important voice in the citywide greenspace advocacy network for many years, and continues to be. As the oldest advocacy organization in the region and one of the few staffed ones in the city, it plays an important role in advocating for such critical needs as funding for the Parks Department and training for its maintenance crew.

1. Increase Parks Funding by the City
2. Improve Parks Maintenance by the City
3. Institute Fee Program for Mitigation of Park Use by Events
4. Participate in the Implementation and Monitoring of the Community Preservation Act (CPA)
