Thank you for joining us at the 55th Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Public Garden to celebrate the work that you make possible every year. You—our community of partners, supporters, volunteers, elected officials, and civic advocates—made it a standing-room only gathering at the UMass Club!
We were thrilled to introduce incoming President Liza Meyer and Mayor Michelle Wu, who presented the Parks Champion Award to Friends Board Member and longtime volunteer Beatrice Nessen. Mayor Wu honored Nessen with a formal citation from the City, recognizing her 50+ years of service and advocacy in support of Boston’s treasured greenspaces.
