Thank you to the more than 500 people who came to sign our Witness to History book on a very rainy Memorial Day weekend to commemorate the official completion of the Robert Gould Shaw and Massachusetts 54th Regiment Memorial after its long restoration.
Representatives of the Partnership to Renew the Shaw 54th Regiment Memorial; the National Park Service, the City of Boston, the Friends and the Museum of African American History, who together funded the project and associated programming were among the many people who were there to mark the end of the restoration and the introduction of the improved and safer Memorial.
