As part of the broader community effort to support important public health goals, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Green & White Ball on May 1, 2020.

The decision was particularly difficult as this year we were looking forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary and the many contributions of our dear friends to these special public spaces. In this time of crisis, now more than ever, we understand the role of open green spaces to the well-being of our beloved city. Rejuvenation can still be found in our public parks as the season turns towards Spring, a place to walk quietly and feel the sense of connection to our city.

Though the Green & White Ball may be cancelled this year, our work as advocates, caretakers and supporters of these parks continues. If you had planned to attend this year’s event, and would still like to make a donation, you may do so with an online donation at https://friendsofthepublicgarden.org/donate/.

Thank you for your continuing support of the Friends of the Public Garden.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Vizza
Executive Director
