Over 150 revellers were part of our sold out Winter Party celebration December 13 at 8 Park Street. The Second Annual Winter Party was filled with good cheer, good friends, and a hint of holiday lights reflecting from the Common. The unofficial start of the holiday season, this year’s event brought a merry crowd, and some killer fashion.
For the second year, the Young Friends extended the invitation to the Young at Heart, welcoming them to join the nights festivities. Young Friends co-chair Anne Mostue welcomed the crowd and highlighted why groups like the Young Friends are vital to keeping our parks healthy and green, thanking those in attendance for their support and advocacy. Board Chair Leslie Adam announced the start of the Friends’ 50th Anniversary in 2020 to roaring applause, and shared advocacy updates and teased some exciting projects coming up next year.
Young Friends co-chair Meg McClafferty drew the raffle prizes, with seven attendees taking home fabulous prizes from The Eliot Hotel, Boston Celtics Loge Tickets (courtesy of Rich Hornblower & Amy Morris), a Boston Chops gift certificate, a Mooo Restaurant gift certificate, a UwilaWarrior luxury lingerie gift set, a Winston Flowers gift certificate, and a SHOES.com gift certificate.
Special thanks to Young Friends co-chairs Rich Hornblower, Anne Mostue, Meg McClafferty, and the entire Planning Committee for putting together this dazzling event. Thank you to Hurley Event Photography for the wonderful photos!
