The Friends is excited to announce a long-term project to restore the Shaw Memorial on Boston Common, commencing with a signing ceremony on Friday, July 27th, at the corner of Beacon and Park Street. Join us in launching an exciting new partnership that will undertake a multi-million dollar restoration of the Shaw Memorial.
We will support compelling programs to deepen the dialogue about race, freedom, and justice. Present will be the partners for this project: The National Parks Service, The City Of Boston, Friends of the Public Garden, the Museum of African-American History, along with Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Governor Charlie Baker.
