This year the magic stretches from Kenmore Square to Arlington Street and there are two ways you can be part of the celebration!
KENMORE TREE LIGHTING
6:30 p.m.
The festivities begin with the lighting of the tree in the Kenmore block of the Mall, right near the Lombard Light . Boston University will be providing cocoa and cookies to all who wish to kick off the season at the western end of the Commonwealth Avenue Mall.
LIGHTING OF THE MALL
8:00 p.m.
Mayor Wu will be on hand to flip the switch on one of the city’s largest annual holiday light installations. With cookies and cocoa provided by The Newbury, we will gather on the Arlington – Berkeley block of the Mall. The traditional warm, white lights, brought to you by Friends of the Public Garden, will frame green lights on the Charlesgate block, an initiative supported by the Emerald Necklace Conservancy and the Charlesgate Alliance.
