The Boston Common Master Plan was released to the public on October 12, 2022. The unveiling was held at the historic Parkman Bandstand, featuring remarks from Mayor Michelle Wu, Mariama White-Hammond, City of Boston Chief of Energy, Environment and Open Space, Ryan Woods, Commissioner, Boston Parks and Recreation, and Liz Vizza, President, Friends of the Public Garden. The planning process incorporated community input to create a roadmap that prioritizes accessibility, resiliency, and inclusivity while also honoring the park’s history and operational needs.
