Enjoy getting your hands dirty? Join the Border Brigade!
From June through September, on alternating Thursdays from 5-7:00 p.m., just show up ready to help at the Boylston Street border.
We are looking for champion volunteer weeders to help maintain the now-beautiful Boylston Street border and the Beacon Street border in the Public Garden. You supply the enthusiasm, we supply the gloves, kneepads, and some brief instructions on weed identification! Shade is thoughtfully provided by all the magnificent green leafy trees along each border.
No previous experience necessary and you can participate every week, for a couple of weeks, or only once! This is a wonderful opportunity to get outside, roll up your sleeves, dig in the dirt, and share in the joys of gardening right in the middle of the city.
Participants will get a free Friends of the Public Garden t-shirt and a book about the Public Garden.
